High Performance Committee
Role of the Committee
The roles and responsibilities of the national high performance committee and its members are:
- Develop direction and policy for high performance ultimate frisbee in Australia - men's, women's, mixed, universities, juniors
- Develop a national competition calendar that fits in with international commitments
- Determine the format for national tours and nationals qualifying tournaments
- Determine the format of national championships
- Develop and approve the draw and seedings for national championships
- Determine process by which national teams are to be selected
- Appoint selectors for national teams
- Develop best-practice standards for selection of teams
- Determine process by which club teams to represent Australia are selected (eg for WUCC)
- Optimise development pathways for athletes at all levels
- Communicate AFDA high performance initiatives Australia-wide
- Be subscribed to the afda-hp yahoogroup
- Report to the AFDA Board on a monthly basis

National Selection Coordinator
The national selection coordinator is responsible for:
- recommending revision to selection policy
- managing the appointment of selectors cojointly with the AFDA CEO
- overseeing selection processes and reporting progress to the committee
